An evil protagonist is characterized by their malicious intentions, lack of empathy, and willingness to harm others for personal gain. They often display a disregard for moral values and ethical principles, and their actions are typically driven by selfish desires or a thirst for power. Unlike antiheroes who may have redeeming qualities or complex motivations, evil protagonists are typically portrayed as irredeemably wicked and unapologetically villainous. **

The opposite of protagonist is antagonist. While the protagonist is the main character in a story who drives the plot forward, the antagonist is the character who opposes or conflicts with the protagonist.
